World Wildlife Day: Celebrating Rescue Milestones with IFAW

World Wildlife Day: Celebrating Rescue Milestones with IFAW

Nothing makes us happier than knowing we’ve made a difference for animals needing rescue and care all over the world. Every year, we donate 15% of our profits to organizations that help promote animal welfare and prevent animal cruelty, and for the last 5 years, we’ve donated to IFAW to support their worldwide efforts to rescue and rehabilitate animals. IFAW is the International Fund for Animal Welfare and works around the world to rescue and rehabilitate animals, end illegal wildlife trade, and conserve habitats.

We’ve been supporting IFAW’s work since the devastating Australian bushfires of 2019/2020. As disasters have unfortunately been striking more frequently, and with greater intensity, we are committed to our mission of continuing to support IFAW in their rescue and rehabilitation efforts. Last year, IFAW responded to 98% of disaster requests received from 29 countries directly helping 142,735 individual animals globally. Wow. With 786 animal rescue responders trained across 8 countries, IFAW is even better positioned for next year. We have committed to a two year partnership with IFAW to support their work as they continue to grow and help more and more of our furry friends.

In April 2022, we donated 50% of our profits that month to aid in IFAW’s relief during the devastating bombings in Ukraine. IFAW provided 24/7 access to pet food, triage veterinary care, and supplies for Ukrainian families feeling with their pets. IFAW committed to providing relief and care to Ukrainian refugees and their pets as long as they were needed.

In 2021, we made a donation of $50,000 to IFAW and directly impacting their global rescue team! IFAW’s focus remains on rescue, rehabilitation, release, and monitoring wildlife, while also sharing best practices, providing training, and developing response and animal rescue networks.

In 2022, IFAW continued their work to rehab orphaned elephants and keep them on their journey back to the wild. At their IFAW-supported Zimbabwe Elephant Nursery (ZEN), they rehabilitated two orphaned elephant calves, Moses and Sally. Moses was separated from his herd, while Sally was seriously injured after an attack by hyenas. Both were able to bond with other elephants at the Nursery, received the care they needed, and were able to eventually depart on their own to live as free wild elephants!

We’re looking forward to elevating our partnership with IFAW over the next two years with an even bigger donation and continued support from the Fox Fam. Every purchase you’ve made has made a difference for animals globally, and that will only continue to grow. Thank you for making a difference with us, Fox, today and every day!

Celebrating All Things AF: New Hair Color Launches, Donations to Amazing Rescues, and Much More!

Celebrating All Things AF: New Hair Color Launches, Donations to Amazing Rescues, and Much More!

    @evelina.forsell in Ginger Flare

Time flies when you’re having fun, and we DEFINITELY have. 10 years ago we set out to create the best prismatic hair color line and now we’re coloring and conditioning hair across the globe. We’ve celebrated all things AF all year long with launches, giveaways, donations to amazing organizations and more. But first, let's take a look back at what was going on in our world in 2013 when it all began.

    - “What does the Fox Say” was the most viral Youtube video of the year...
    - Now we’re always asking “what does the Fox FAM say?!”
    - Word of the year: SELFIE (how perfect)
    - Platinum and pastel hair were IT
    - Pixie cuts and mohawk braids were everywhere
    - Orange Is the New Black and Breaking Bad were the most talked about TV shows
    - We were obsessed with cronuts
    - Miley twerked at the VMA’s
    - Britney coined the term “work, b*tch”

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect to launch a brand dedicated to all things attitude and hair color. Since the start we have been driven to create a space for everyone to express themselves and do it all for a great cause. But what have we done since launching Arctic Fox?

    - Evolved our hair color line to now include over 20 unique shades
    - Produced an affordable and high quality hair care line                                     - Expanded the brand to be wherever YOU are, in some of the most popular beauty stores Ulta, Sally Beauty, and Hot Topic                                                      - Launched our Foxology gel nail kits and nail polishes
    - Became a leader in affordable at-home hair color
    - Empowered our Fox Fam to embrace their uniqueness
    - Helped thousands of animals along the way with your support of AF

We’ve done so much through the years to create our colorful community and impact the lives of animals worldwide through our efforts. All of this made it that much more important to us to go out with a bang for our 10th anniversary and we couldn’t be more thankful to have spent it with all of you. Here’s how we celebrated through this year:

We added new dyes to the mix… and brought some back. Our newest shade, Ginger Flare is now one of our most popular colors, and we LOVE to see you sport your coppery looks!

    @evelina.forsell in Ginger Flare

But for a bit of nostalgia, we brought back an old favorite this year. Your peachy bestie, Porange is back (for a limited run) just in time for you to create looks around Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2024, Peach Fuzz!

@meghanowen in Electric Paradise and Porange

We let YOU decide on future launches! We listened to your requests and you helped make Ginger Flare a best seller. So we took it a little further by letting our Fox Fam decide which color we should release in 2024 and you guys did NOT disappoint. Make sure you’re signed up for emails and follow us on our socials to see when the chosen shade is released. We can’t wait to see you guys use this gorgeous spacey blue shade.

Expansion, expansion, expansion! Our Foxology nail line had TONS of growth this year. We added dozens of new polish colors and gel nail kits to the mix. We even introduced you to Foxy the Snowman.

    Checker Out

    Pinkerchief

As seen on…. TV, magazines and just EVERYWHERE. This year your favorite at-home hair color and nail brand (aka US) was featured on celebrities like Karol G and Megan Fox. How sick is that?

There were lots of opportunities to win big! We partnered with brands like Loungefly for social media giveaways to give back to our Fox Fam.

And for our loyal Fox Fam, there were even more ways to save and earn! We leveled up our rewards program for our loyal customers to have better ways of earning points on their AF purchases.

We gave back to those in need. Our animal rescue partners have been near and dear to us through the years. As a company that prides itself on donating 15% of our revenue to animal welfare organizations, we wanted to make sure we gave back in more ways this year.

Our team kicked off the year with visits to Viva Rescue and Judith A. Bassett Candid Education & Conservation Center to meet with the animals we help impact through our donations.

At Viva Rescue our donations this year helped cover care costs that saved the lives of young goats.

Our donation to Judith A. Bassett Candid Education & Conservation Center helped them fund the addition of several new enclosures. Including one for an actual arctic fox!

Our work with Second Chance Animal Rescue helped to cover medical costs for several animals in their care.

WIth IFAW we were able to support their efforts to help animals around the world even through natural disasters and displacements in areas with political unrest.

Without you and your support, none of this would be possible. We are so happy to have built a community that supports us as a brand and our ongoing fight for animal welfare. We couldn’t be more thankful for our Fox Fam and we’re so excited to show you what we have up our sleeves in the new year and beyond. Thanks for celebrating with us all through 2023!

Arctic Fox Rescue Update: A New Arrival For The Judith A Bassett CECC

    Update! Update! Update!

Our Fox Fam is out there, making a real difference! You know that our products are all vegan and cruelty-free, but did you know that we donate 15% of our profits to rescues and shelters that help our furry and feathered friends? One of our rescue partners has some exciting news that we are thrilled to share.

If you’ve been following our story for a while, you’ll remember that in March we added a new rescue to our roster: the Judith A Bassett Canid Education and Conservation Center (JABCECC). We talked all about them and their awe-inspiring work here. Basically, they home and care for canids that have been rescued from fur farms, research institutions or the exotic animal pet trade. They also do the important work of educating the public about these amazing creatures.

These rockstars have just sent us a photo of their newest pack member:

She’s a geriatric arctic fox female badly in need of some TLC. Luckily for her, JABCECC managed to get her to them—a trip that took 38 hours! Now that she’s safely tucked up in their quarantine area they can start giving her the vet care that she’s never had.

She’s lived her entire life on a fur farm, where it’s likely that this sweet creature was used as a breeder every season. Obviously, now she’s older and can’t have any more pups, which means she was in danger of being euthanized. Her new home is full of love… but after a lifetime of being mistreated it will take her a long time to adjust❤️‍🩹. She’s finally made it to a good place, and we hope she can relax and feel safe soon.

And JABCECC really is a Good Place. It houses different canids that have been saved and/or rescued and respects all animals and their right to live.

When we first discovered this rescue, we wanted to help them right away. In fact, the money that we donated to them in the spring has already gone towards expanding perimeter fencing! Their plan is to have an area just for our spirit animals, where this lovely grandma and the center’s other arctic fox, Freddy Snowballs, will be able to live their best lives.

Because fences for these nimble jumpers need to be 8 feet tall and made of heavy-duty chain link, they are taking their time to make sure it’s done properly. It’s slow going and costs money, but they’re working towards that goal with the help of donations and their partners (like us!).

It’s so important that we support the paws on the ground making real differences in the lives of animals. And that’s why we love when they share their latest wins. We have our fingers crossed that we get a lot of great updates about their new arrival and even more great news from their longer-term residents. As a part of our Fox Fam, we know you’re as happy as we are knowing that every time you add to your Arctic Fox collection, you’re contributing to these great organizations. Keep up the good work, JABCECC team, we are proud to help support your wonderful work.

Viva Rescue on How Our $10,000 Donation Changed the Lives of Their Rescues

Viva Rescue on How Our $10,000 Donation Changed the Lives of Their Rescues

We're halfway through 2023 and thanks to YOU, Fox, we continue to support  some of our favorite animal rescues across the globe. We've been lucky enough to work with Viva Global Rescue for several years now. Located in Menifee, California, Viva is run by Kalli and Maya who continue to rescue and rehab all kinds of animals day in and day out so they can live their best lives as they should. Back in March, we took a team trip to visit Kalli, Maya and all their animals to see for ourselves the difference we're making. We were so excited to meet with so many of the animals and hear from Kalli and Maya themselves about the work they do each day.
During that trip, we brought a $10,000 donation with us and recently received an update from Kalli and Maya on how that money has helped them this year:
    Meet Starburst
A neonatal kitten with numerous health issues including a severe upper respiratory illness, severe parasites, eye infections and a skin disease. Thanks to our donation, Viva was able to provide the care to Starburst in order for her  to recover and thrive after receiving necessary medical treatment.
    Meet Thomas the Lamb
The AF team fell in LOVE with Thomas during our trip. This strong little guy was able  to receive high quality, critical medical treatment and vital support that allowed Viva to give Thomas specialised treatment to overcome health challenges, giving him a second chance at a healthy and fulfilling life.
    Meet Piper the Goat
Piper struggles with severe allergies and thanks to AF's donation she was able to receive life-changing allergy shots that helped retrain her immune system and improve her quality of life. This innovative work previously had not been used on goats and with our support, Viva is changing the future of medical care for farmed animals.
    Meet Bambi the Lamb
Bambi lives with multiple deformities and relies on a wheelchair for mobility. With our donation, Bambi has been able to receive necessary medication to manage pain, improve mobility and enhance her overall well being.
    Meet Joey the Goat
This baby goat was found paralyzed shortly after birth. Our donation provided the necessary resources for Joey to receive specialized care, medical attention, and nourishment allowing him to recover and live a happy and healthy life. This included emergency, routine, and preventative medical care as well as crucial supplies for the first 6 months of his life at the sanctuary. Our donation played a pivotal role in Joey's journey of resilience and recovery and changed the course of his life.
We wouldn't be able to make such an impact on these rescue animals without YOU. Here's to dyeing for a cause!

Celebrating Our Birthday by Giving Back with Pup Culture Rescue

We’re so proud to be a brand that uses our platform to give back. Thanks to our Fox Fam, we are able to give to organizations that are making extraordinary efforts in the lives of animals around the world. One of those organizations is Pup Culture Rescue. Pup Culture is a non-profit animal rescue dedicated to saving dogs and educating the community about the importance of adoption. They support their rescues through providing everything from food and supplies to surgeries, training, and rehabilitation. Our donation will further positively impact the lives of the dogs in their care, and we couldn’t be more excited to help!

To celebrate our 10 year anniversary, an additional 10% of proceeds will be going to Pup Culture Rescue for the next 10 days! That means 25% total of our net profits from our website only, are being donated to animal rescue efforts now through April 20th.

We again, want to thank our Fox Fam for making donations like this possible. When you support AF, you make an impact and we are so excited to be able to help Pup Culture Rescue with their efforts.

Looking to adopt a dog from Pup Culture Rescue? You can virtually meet all of their adoptable dogs below!

    Meet the Pups

    Artemis

Artemis was a neighborhood stray who relied on the kindness of the humans who saw her wandering for food. She raised a litter of puppies and had just weaned them when one of our amazing fosters found her and took her in. She is officially a Pup Culture dog and will have consistent meals, love, and care for the rest of her life! She is a hilarious little chihuahua mix who is great with people, dogs, and even cats. She loves to snuggle and play with her foster siblings.

    Boomer

We love this sweet hound dog! Boomer struggles with epilepsy and we have been working with a neurologist to get his seizures under control. He is full of life and love, and we can’t wait until he finds the perfect forever family.

    Curry

Good-natured and mellow, six-year-old Curry just wants a second chance at happiness. This sweet dog has never lost his love for belly rubs and snuggles even after everything he has been through. He’s in need of a foster home or foster-to-adopter who can give him the TLC he needs to thrive.

    Frida

This petite German Shepherd was surrendered to us after her loving family got evicted and had no other options. She grieved her family for so long, showing her loving and loyal personality. Now Frida is looking for a new family to love. She is gentle, mellow, and so sweet. She is great out in public and will lay by your feet at any restaurant. She loves hiking off leash and is great at sticking by your side. She is good with other dogs and bonds hard to her people.

    Igor

Igor was a stray in East LA. He was rescued on the cusp of death, frighteningly thin with terrible mange and a painful, deafening ear infection. He is 7 years old and mellow. He prefers to be the only dog, walks well on leash, and is extremely loyal.

    Lloyd

Lloyd is a multipoo who gets along great with small dogs but would also be totally fine with being the center of attention as an only dog. He is a happy go lucky, playful pup who is eager to find a forever home to love.

    Marnie

Marnie is a 5yr old, 10lb Chi/Pom mix that is house trained, great with kids, loves the car, walks well on leash, and is crate trained. Marnie is the best! She is very chill at her foster home where she lives peacefully with another small dog and is well behaved in public.

    Moon

2-year-old Mexican street mutt who is quiet, sweet, and docile. He is a gentle boy and would be great in a family with kids or other dogs. He is respectful on leash and doesn’t pull because he wants to be right by your side.

    BomBom & YomYom

These two, three-month-old Jindo littermates are looking for adopters! They made the trip all the way from our rescue partners at Aniband Goku Sanctuary outside of Seoul, South Korea to our rescue in Los Angeles. Their last stop will be their perfect future forever homes. The Jindo breed is known for their loyal and affectionate nature, making them wonderful family companions.

    Chai

This adorable terrier mix was found as a stray by one of our rescue partners. When we took her to the vet, we were thrilled to learn she had a microchip, and we were excited to facilitate a reunion! Unfortunately, when we contacted her former owners, they told us they no longer wanted sweet Chai in their family. We promised Chai that we would help her find a fresh start and a loving family that is truly hers forever!

    Roman

Roman is a stunning pup who is as handsome as he is friendly. He's looking for a loving family who understands that dogs are more than just trainable pets - they are loyal companions who deserve love and attention. He loves to play and would do best in a home with other dogs. He's always up for a game of fetch or a good snuggle on the couch.

    Sheila

We don’t know Sheila’s past, but we know it couldn’t have been easy. She is covered in scars and a bit shy at first. Once she warms up, her goofy side comes out and she shows you how much she loves to snuggle and play! She is great with other dogs and kids. She is a gentle soul and we can’t wait for her to find her forever family.

Your dollars make a difference and when you purchase now through the 20th, you'll be making such a big impact on animal rescue and welfare all over the world. Shop through our website and support the cause!
